Touchtone Communications FAQs

Q. How does TouchTone offer such low rates?

A. TouchTone is an FCC Certified and Tariffed long distance carrier. Our network is compiled of several large nationwide network providers who have high quality global connectivity. Since we buy the network in bulk and have one of the most efficient support operations in the industry, we can offer deep discounted rates without compromising the quality of service.

Q. Will I have to sign a contract?

A. Never! We believe our services and support are so exceptional that you will become a long term customer without us asking you to sign a contract.

Q. Are the rates the same all day every day?

A. Yes. We will never make you pay a different rate based on the time or day of the week. All rates are the same 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Q. Is there a minimum usage fee?

A. No. There is no minimum usage fee.

Q. Does TouchTone offer toll free services?

A. Yes. You can sign up for new toll free service online or if you have an existing toll free number you can transfer it to your TouchTone account. There is a $1.99 monthly fee for each toll free number. The incoming rates and billing increments for toll frees are exactly the same as your outgoing rates and billing increments.

Q. How do I add a new or existing toll free to my order?

A. To order toll free service, mark a check in the box, “TouchTone Toll Free Service” at the bottom of the Online Order Form. Check either New Service or Existing Service.

Q. Can I choose my own vanity toll free?

A. For New Service you can choose three possible toll free numbers and TouchTone will search to see if any are available. An “X” can be placed as a wild card for any single digit. If TouchTone cannot find a match for your choices, you have the choice of having TouchTone assign the closest available # to what you requested.

Q. Does TouchTone offer calling cards?

A. Yes. The rate is $.08 per minute for all calls within the continental United States. There is no charge for using the card from inside the U.S., unless you are calling from a payphone. The payphone surcharge is $.55.

Q. Does TouchTone offer Account Codes (PACs)?

A. Yes. We offer both verified and non-verified Product Account Codes (PACs) at NO charge. You have the option of 2 to 12 digits. Please contact a TouchTone Customer Representative for more information.

Q. How long should provisioning take?

A. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for TouchTone to provision most accounts. It can take the local carrier up to five business days to make the switch over.

Q. How will I know if I'm switched to TouchTone?

A. TouchTone is one of the best provisioning companies of long distance service in the industry. You will receive an email from TouchTone Communications when you complete the online order form telling you how to test if your local carrier switched your long distance properly. If any problems occur while your account is being provisioned, you will be contacted by a representative of the TouchTone Provisioning Team.

Q. Who do I contact for provisioning and billing questions?

A. You can call Customer Service at 800-266-4006 M-F 8:00 am to 7:00 pm ET. and Saturdays 9:00 am to 4:00 pm ET.

Q. How do I sign up?

A. Simply fill out the Online Order Form and follow the instructions.

Q. Why am I submitting my email address?

A. Instead of using signatures to authorize your choice in service, TouchTone is utilizing an electronic signature via a personal email address to authorize your service change.

Q. Will TouchTone give my email address to a Third-Party?

A. TouchTone will not give any of your personal information out to a Third-Party.
